Jesus Christ is Our Father Himself, manifesting His spirit in an earthly body. A body that can bleed and die just like us.
For what purpose did He do this? So that He could be persecuted and die for the sins of the world and without His blood, none of our sins would ever be forgiven.
In Old Testament times Our Father required a blood sacrifice as a way for us to demonstrate our love and obedience to His laws and ordinances. Blood sacrifice did not take away the sins of men:
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. KJV
1st Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. KJV
The much-used verse from St. John will give us the reason for Christ's birth in an earthly body and His eventual death on the cross:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. KJV
What about His heritage? Websites that offer searchs into the genealogy of someone's family are popular these days.
You could probably receive a special blessing from Our Father if you took the time to read the heritage, genealogy or blood-line of Christ in His earthly body.
The blood-line of Christ in the Book of Matthew gives the regal / legal line while the Book of Luke gives the natural/legal line.
The regal / legal line of Christ:
