The Book of Jeremiah
Imagine, for a moment, that you are the Creator and according to the book of Revelation, you created all of us for your pleasure. Obviously, you wanted some company.
✡ Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. KJV
Since He has existed always, at what point in time did He find Himself lonely? To where the need for companionship overcame Him and He began to create other heavenly beings?
He succumbed to the need and created over 15 billion souls in spiritual bodies. Father didn’t just want a few, He wanted a whole lot of us.
And then came the day when fully one-third of that spiritual creation wanted Him gone and, under the leadership of Lucifer, the war in heaven began.
Of course, we can see that something like that would be fruitless, but what in the world was going through Lucifers’ mind, other than pride and egotism? The attempted take-over was quelled and Father is left with a huge decision to make….destroy all of these souls and start over or punish the leaders of the rebellion and give all other souls a chance to make that one firm decision on their own, whether they will love Him or Satan.
He chose the latter.
The six days of creation commence and from the very beginning these human beings are not only corrupted by the evil wiles of Satan, but their own minds create evil as never seen before.
It hurts Him, and He considers destroying all of us once more but settles on reducing our life span from 800-900 years to only 120.
And over the centuries and generations, He must continue to be lenient with us, to give us grace and forgive our sins and trespasses, try to restore the love between us and Him and give us a pathway to redemption.
He did all that for us.
But we really don’t seem to want that because, throughout the Old and New Testaments, the narrative is riddled with records of sin, corruption, greed, lust and whatever other earthly desires we humans have.
Why did I just go through all of this? To show you that our Creator has an undying love for each and every one of us and no matter what we do here on earth, He is always ready and willing to forgive us and take us back into His arms.
We, on the other hand, do exactly the opposite. We provoked Him, with our disobedience, to the point that He opened up the earth and had it swallow up some of the people a time or two…
✡ Numbers 26:10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign. KJV
In the book of Deuteronomy, we find this…
✡ Deuteronomy 11:6 And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel: KJV
He brought nations against both Judah and Israel, they put both houses into captivity and what did they learn? Nothing. They continued their human ways, thinking that they are superior to Him.
And it continues today. Maybe a few of us have changed our ways but, overall, we still thumb our collective noses at Him daily.
In this chapter 3, both Israel and Judah continue to sin against our Father. And from what we learned from the last chapter, it seems that the more He punishes them for their misdeeds, the more obstinate and disobedient they become.
But He is always forgiving if we repent, and He will always take us back. Thank Him for that sometime, it just might make His day.
Alright. Chapter three, verse 1.
Jeremiah 3:1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the Lord.
They say means that whatever statement follows, it’s a common saying among the people, everybody says it.
This is a difficult verse to reconcile so let’s go to Deuteronomy and see what is written there concerning this…
✡ Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
WOW! Is this verse saying that it’s ok to divorce someone? Impossible!
No, it’s not impossible because these words come right out of our Fathers’ mouth. But it is totally contrary to what a lot of churches teach. They tell us that if a woman is a divorcee that she is less than human in the eyes of the church.
She is a harlot and a whore. Make her sit in the back of the church, keep quiet, and leave before the rest of the congregation leaves so they don’t have to look at her.
These preachers and deacons and the holier-than-thou crowd of the congregation, go totally against the words of God because they think that they are something special. In reality, they’re no more than self-righteous idiots that don’t understand the words of our Father.
✡ Deuteronomy 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
She is free to marry again.
✡ Deuteronomy 24:3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
If the second ‘ole boy hates her as did the first husband or if the second ‘ole boy dies for some reason…
✡ Deuteronomy 24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. KJV
She is still alive and well, but she may not go back and marry the first husband a second time. Why? Because she has defiled herself by marrying another man, other than the first, and Father considers it to be a mark upon the land.
But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the Lord. If there is a spiritual marriage with our Lord and we break that bond by going out and violating His commandments, then through repentance we can come back to Him again. Old Testament law does not apply in this case.
What Father is saying here is that even though a woman is not to go back to her first husband a second time, because it defiles the land, such is NOT THE CASE with His love towards us. We may leave Him and go out and whore around with other people but in the end, He will ALWAYS take us back if we repent of our wrongdoings.
Jeremiah 3:2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.
What are these high places? It’s where their “church” is, upon that high hill, among the trees. Get my drift? It’s where they have their orgies, it’s where they carve a tree into the shape of a male penis.
And see where thou hast not been lien with. See whom you’ve had sexual intercourse with. That’s what the word lien means…
✡ Lien_ OT:7693 shagal (shaw-gal'); a primitive root; to copulate with: KJV - lie with, ravish.
Copulate is a non-offensive term for sexual intercourse.
In the ways hast thou sat for them. Sat around and waited for their johns to come to them as Tamar did in the book of Genesis…
✡ Genesis 38:14 And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife. KJV
To be clear here, Tamar did not aspire to be a prostitute, she was undercover for a whole different reason.
As the Arabian in the wilderness. They sat around waiting for the tourists to come so that they could rob them.
And thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. Father sees the sin in us and to Him, it pollutes everything around us, even the very land that we live and stand on.
Jeremiah 3:3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
Because of their disobedience, Father has stopped any rain from falling and no latter rain means that what crops they had growing in the ground would wither up and die because the last rains of the season, the latter rain, would not come and make the fruits plump and sweet.
And thou hadst a whore's forehead. A whore would become so heart-hardened that she no longer blushed or became embarrassed by what she does for a living.
So it is with Israel and Judah. They had become so hardened by the sins that they were committing that they could stand before the Father and not only NOT BLUSH but deny to Him that they had done any wrong.
The same thing is happening today, spiritually. People are so convinced that what they are taught in some church system is the actual truth, that they will stand up and deny that the first messiah to appear on the scene is none other than Satan in his role as the Antichrist. They are convinced that he is the true Christ.
What kind of forehead do you have? Is it “marked” in any way? Many don’t realize this but those that believe in the rapture and any-moment doctrines already carry the mark of the beast in their minds. Because associated with that thinking, they believe that the true Messiah comes first, when in fact, He comes later.
They are already primed, locked, and loaded. Ready, at a moments notice, to fall into the lap of Satan himself. Satan has already done his work with them. Put them off to the side and let’s work on those souls that aren’t really sure where the truth lies.
Jeremiah 3:4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?
Father is asking….will you not, from this day forward, repent of your sins and your evil ways and return to Me?
Jeremiah 3:5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
Will Father continue to reason with these people forever? Will there be no end to His patience? They’ve done every evil thing that can come into a persons’ mind and they have done it over and over again.
Pleasing our Father is not all that difficult to understand and do. He wrote a book for us to read and to find out exactly what we are supposed to do, where and when to do it, and what would be the result if we did or did not follow those instructions.
And if you still live your life without moral restraint, then you are a heathen through and through. Some animals have more restraint than you do.
Jeremiah 3:6 The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
From this verse 6 up to chapter 4:4 will be the fifth prophesy and it will be delivered during Josiah’s reign. The new discourse tells us that Father tells Judah of her impending doom and yet promises Israel final restoration.
It’s important to understand this or you might become confused with how and to whom the following verses are written.
Do you know who Israel is today? Nope, it’s not a country in the Middle East. Originally, they were the ten “lost” Tribes and they migrated into Europe, western and eastern, and then the British Isles and on to Canada and America.
WE are Israel today. And, NO, we are not Jews. Only those that belonged to the Tribe of Judah are Jews. The Tribe of Levi was the priest Tribe and the other ten Tribes are of the Hebrew race and that’s where we come in.
As they migrated and married women from the sixth-day creation, in places that we know of today, like Germany and France and England and others.
And generation after generation has gone by and the bloodline has been diluted to the point to where we probably have no Hebrew blood in us at all today. But we still are Israel, that’s where our heritage lies.
She is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree. There we have it again. Idol worship, so-called churches on every high hill or mountain.
Every green tree is called grove worshipping. They cut down an appropriately-sized tree, cut off the branches and hued it into the form of the male appendage. At one point in time, they even took one of them into the Temple itself…
✡ 2nd Chronicles 33:7 And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: KJV
What a blasphemous act to do and the women made kerchiefs and cloth coverings to cover it up and hide it from public view.
Jeremiah 3:7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
After Israel had done all of these abominable things, still Father wants them to return to Him, but she didn’t. And the house of Judah saw what was going on because they were doing the exact same thing.
I picture those people of Judah, looking over their shoulder behind them, to see how close Father is getting to them. They hide and slink in their dark places, the light burning holes in their souls, the cancer of sin eating at them daily, scratching at the scabs until it turns raw. Spiritually speaking, of course.
Not only was our Father talking to them, but the prophets were as well. Amos and Hosea and Mica, all speaking to the people at the same time but to no avail. In many cases, they killed the prophet to make him shut up.
Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Father looked at Israel, understood that they would not repent of their wickedness, and divorced them. Bet you didn’t know that Father was a divorcee, did you?
And you have all these numb-nut preachers out there, putting a guilt trip on some battered, beat-up woman who could not take the abuse anymore, and they make her sit in the back of the church, as though it was HER fault.
“Well brother, we just don’t think that a divorced woman should have all the rights that other women have in this church. I mean, it is a church rule that she should now be trodden under our feet.”
Hypocrites. They have no God-given power over the people, so they make up their own rules to make themselves look important and powerful. If it were me I’d moon that ‘ole boy and my butt would be the last body part he would ever see of me.
Both Israel and Judah are off the spiritual deep end.
Jeremiah 3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
Does lightness mean that they were nonchalant about what they were doing? Nope….
✡ Lightness_OT:6963 qowl (kole); or qol (kole); from an unused root meaning to call aloud; a voice or sound:
It means that not only did they do it continually, but they were also proud of it, talking out loud about it. They made a religion out of it, a Beth-aven on every corner and they worshipped the sticks and stones that they made with their hands. We went over this earlier, so you know what they did with sticks and stones.
Carved them up into little images of the male appendage. Do you think that they did that and then just let them lie about? Ever heard of a vibrator in today’s times? I told you that we are the same today as they were way back then. Human nature never changes.
Jeremiah 3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord.
And Israel and Judah continued in their ways and stiff-armed our Father continually. Feignedly means to fake it…..
✡ Feignedly_OT:8267 sheqer (sheh'-ker); from OT:8266; an untruth; by implication, a sham (often adverbial):
What does that mean? There was an attempt at reformation during King Josiah’s time but there was no true effort to turn away from their abominations and return to our Father. It was all a sham.
Jeremiah 3:11 And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.
How in the world can Israel JUSTIFY herself when she and Judah are doing the exact same sins? It comes down to Judah being more into the sinning than Israel was. They both did them, but Judah exceeded at them. She was excessive with them.
Can you imagine how much this must have hurt our Father? I mean, Judah was the KING Tribe, the Tribe through which our Lord and Savior would come, and His heritage would include this?
Jeremiah 3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever.
What is toward the north? Assyria. The place where the Ten Tribes would be taken captive.
Father is telling Jeremiah to look towards the north and say the words out loud, not that he should actually GO to Assyria, but say to all that would listen that even after all that these ten Tribes had done, He was still willing to take them back and continue to love them.
It’s not written here but you know what Israel had to do BEFORE that would happen, don’t you? Yep. They had to repent, turn away from all this idol worship, burn the idols that could be burned, destroy the ones made of rock.
But pleasures of a sexual nature are hard to just walk away from. It would be like telling a drug addict to throw away that last little packet of powder and go into rehab. Cold turkey. Doesn’t work most of the time.
Jeremiah 3:13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the Lord.
All they have to do is just publicly acknowledge the sins that they’ve committed, take responsibility for taking those sins and for getting the neighboring nations to participate in them with them, and say out loud that they have disobeyed the Lord God of heaven and earth.
That’s the first step towards repentance.
Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
Do that, and because of the spiritual marriage between you and Me, I will take you by a city or by just two people in a family, and I will bring you back to My holy mountain.
Some people may not understand this “marriage” business between us and the Father but it’s really important today.
There’s going to be a spiritual marriage very soon and our Lord said that He doesn’t want to see us “with child” when He returns to us. What that means is that through the centuries that have passed since He went back to heaven and we have been left here to deal with Satan that we have been unfaithful to Him.
He doesn’t want us to believe the lies of Satan, believe that he will be the first “savior” to appear in Jerusalem, and if we do, then figuratively, we have gone to bed with Satan and we are “with child”. Satan’s child. We have cheated on the Lord during the time that He was away.
We can find this written in Matthew 24 and Mark 13….
✡ Matthew 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! KJV
And in Mark…
✡ Mark 13:17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! KJV
Being “with child” means that you believe that Satan/Antichrist is the true Messiah when it is a lie.
And what is Zion? It’s the place where Father will set up His eternal kingdom and when you ask for forgiveness, He will give it to you, your sins never to be remembered again, and you will spend eternity in absolute bliss with Him.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Some will tell you that these pastors are civil leaders like Nehemiah and Zerubbabel but they’re not.
✡ Pastors_OT:7462 ra`ah (raw-aw'); a primitive root; to tend a flock; i.e. pasture it; intransitively, to graze (literally or figuratively); generally to rule; by extension, to associate with (as a friend):
It does mean pastors or shepherds that tend to the flock and the congregation of a church is often referred to as the flock.
The good ones will teach you the Word of God down to the letter. The bad ones, which St. John referred to as little antichrists, will teach their own thoughts or the rules and laws of a church system and rarely refer to the Scriptures.
✡ 1st John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. KJV
How much knowledge and understanding do you receive when you go to church each and every Sunday? How much do you receive by watching some TV preacher rattle on for an hour? Yep, that’s what I thought.
You cannot depend on any man, woman, or child to give you enough knowledge of our Fathers’ Word to live as He wants us to or be able to overcome Satan when he comes playing the role of Antichrist. YOU have to do that.
There will be no lawyer, no preacher, standing between you and our Father on Judgment Day.
But He will give us those pastors and they’ll be shamed and persecuted and made fun of but they’ll flock (no pun intended) to these TV boys by the tens of thousands as they fly around in one of their three Gulfstream business jets, spending millions each year on personal items paid for by the tithes of the people that attend their meetings.
Jeremiah 3:16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.
This is what is going to happen when you stop rebelling and reconcile yourself back to the Father.
And after His pastors have done their work and the multitudes increase in numbers, the antitype of the Ark of the Covenant, Jesus Christ, will dwell with us in an evermore beautiful setting than the Ark could ever perform.
Jeremiah 3:17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
This is not going to happen while we are still in these flesh and blood bodies. There’s no way that an evil heart can be removed from this body. You can act as religious as you want to, but sin still resides within our thoughts, however much we try to suppress it.
So, when we gather with our Lord in Jerusalem, we will be in spiritual bodies and THEN we are free from sin and an evil heart. And this cannot happen until He returns, the five-month tribulation of Satan/Antichrist is over, the thousand years of the Millennium is complete, and the Final Judgment has been executed.
What a time that’s going to be. Free of evil thoughts and sin.
Jeremiah 3:18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
We read of this “coming together” when we studied Ezekiel…
✡ Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. KJV
It may seem odd to you that Father would refer to the Tribes as “sticks” but it’s really pretty simple if you understand basic plant biology and grafting.
What was found in the Garden of Eden? Two TREES. One tree represented Satan and the other represented our Lord.
On a tree, we find branches which are a PART of the main tree trunk. Our Lord was referred to as a BRANCH in the book of Zechariah…
✡ Zechariah 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. KJV
Our Lord is that BRANCH.
And then we read Ezekiel 37:19 and there we find STICKS. One stick represents the Ten Tribes of the House of Israel and the other stick represents the two Tribes of the House of Judah. Once they are grafted back together there will be only ONE house, no longer two. All the Tribes will be gathered as one.
This will not happen while we are in earthly bodies. It will happen after the Great White Throne Judgment when we enter the eternity.
Let’s look at the Jews and the Gentiles. From the beginning of human/Gentile creation, on that sixth-day, the Jews have been separated from the Gentiles and so it should be because our Lord and Savior will not come through the Gentiles but through the Jews, the Hebrew nation.
Only after the death of our Lord on the cross will the Gentiles be given the opportunity to be as one, with the Jews, under Christ. That HAS happened in this dispensation.
Jeremiah 3:19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
But I said. Father speaks of Himself in His own heart and the question is: how will He bring these disobedient people back to the land of their fathers? They shall call Him Father and no more turn away from Him. That's all they have to do.
Of course, it goes without saying that repentance has to be a part of this reconciliation between Father and His people.
Jeremiah 3:20 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the Lord.
Father teaches us by using examples that we are familiar with as we live our lives. A treacherous wife goes out and does whatever she wants to do, sees whomever she wants to see and lies with anyone she chooses BUT she does it under the cloak of darkness, thinking that no one will see what she does.
✡ Treacherously_ OT:898 bagad (baw-gad'); a primitive root; to cover (with a garment); figuratively, to act covertly; by implication, to pillage:
Many people think that they can hide whatever sins that they commit because it’s done under the cloak of darkness or behind closed doors or they cover-up by lying about it. Foolish! Do you really think that you can con our Father?
Maybe you can con your wife or husband or whoever, but you lose when you try to con Him. You worship your little idols inside your tents and convince yourselves that He cannot see what you do.
The greatest liar and deceiver of all times will be Satan in his role as the Antichrist. And please don’t stumble around believing that the Antichrist will be the Pope, or Obama or some economic wizard from Europe. I mean, really?
He’s a supernatural being, able to convince the unlearned that he is the true Jesus Christ by performing miracles right in front of people. Don’t be taken in by that deception, don’t embarrass yourself by doing that.
Get off your butt and start studying on your own. Don’t place your soul in the hands of some preacher and say:
“Please take care of it for me.”
If you do, it’s nothing short of spiritual suicide.
And this is addressed to the ten Tribes, O house of Israel. You and me.
Jeremiah 3:21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the Lord their God.
You’ve gone up to your high places, your churches, where you commit your sins, crying and praying fervently to Me, says our Father.
✡ Supplications_ OT:8469 tachanuwn (takh-an-oon'); or (feminine) tachanuwnah (takh-an-oo-naw'); from OT:2603; earnest prayer:
And after they get through with their crying and weeping, feeling so sorry for themselves, they’ll drink some wine or whatever and go right back to doing what they were doing before.
Jeremiah 3:22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God.
All you have to do is stop living the way you are and come back to Him. Repent and everything can and will be forgiven.
And don’t sit out there and tell me that your sins are too great to be forgiven. The only sin that CANNOT be forgiven is not letting the Holy Spirit speak through you when you’re delivered up before the councils of Satan and that sin CANNOT be committed until the five-month tribulation period.
Jeremiah 3:23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.
You cannot get salvation from the gods that you pray to up on your hills and mountains where you committed the sins to begin with. Only our Lord God can forgive your sins.
Jeremiah 3:24 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
If you have no conscious, then you have no shame. If you have no shame, then you have no guilt. If that sense of right and wrong doesn’t exist in your brain then you are lost forever BUT Father made sure that we all are born with that sense of righteousness and as much as you might deny it, it will still be there.,
Jeremiah 3:25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God. KJV
Don’t let Satan overwhelm you with the weight of your sins, causing you to feel guilty and unworthy. Father takes back the worst sinners that have ever existed and He does so with love in His heart.
But you have to make that first step. You have to come to Him and repent and if you’re totally honest with Him, you have a new life within you from that moment forward.
Don’t miss chapter 4. It’s a real good ‘un.
