Father has been warning the House of Israel and the House of Judah ever since this book began, about the coming judgment if they don’t change the way that they live, but before we go any further, let’s nail down exactly WHO are the House of Israel and the House of Judah?
The House of Israel are the Ten Tribes that migrated north, across the Caucasus Mountains and into southern Russia, Europe, the British Isles, Canada, and America. These Tribes are…
Reuben, Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Manasseh, and Ephraim.
And without diverging too much, Manasseh and Ephraim were the sons of Joseph, and he was not included in the Ten.
And the House of Judah…
Judah and Benjamin.
You will notice that the Tribe of Levi was not included and that’s because they belonged to our Father and were to be distrubted among the other Tribes to perform their religious duties.
But, Israel and Judah are not the only people on earth at this time, there are also those of the sixth-day creation. Remember them?
✡ Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
This is a completely different creation, separate from the eighth-day creation of Adam and Eve, and we can call them the Gentiles or the Gentile nations.
✡ Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
✡ Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
✡ Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
✡ Genesis 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. KJV
✡ Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. KJV
Don’t let anyone give you any flack or static about this sixth-day creation because hardly anybody teaches about them, they all want to start with Adam and Eve and call them the beginning of the human race. Why is that? It’s pretty simple, really.
When Father caused the flood of Noah’s time, most people are taught that it wiped out the entire human race up to that time, but that’s not true. I could give you a detailed explanation of that, but this is not the time or place.
Simply stated, the flood of Noah was to wipe out or kill off the Geber, the children of the fallen angels having sexual intercourse with the daughters of Adam. It was a localized flood and not world-wide as commonly taught.
But these people of the sixth-day creation simply lived their lives, as hunters and fishermen and farmers and such. The Ten Commandments had not yet been given to Moses, so they lived under the laws of Hammurabi and their own conscience.
I just wanted to superficially cover them so that you have some background knowledge of the world, other than with what our Father is concerned with here in Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 6:1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
Benjamin is probably mentioned here because it was they and Judah that lived in Jerusalem predominately at that time. They were told to flee out of the city and reassemble themselves in smaller groups and be ready for the coming conflict with the Babylonians.
The enemy would come from beyond Tekoa, about six Roman miles from Jerusalem, and the blowing of trumpets, from that city, would be a warning to those in Jerusalem.
And set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem. Hand-held torches, usually from the advantage of a high place, which Tekoa was as olives were raised on the hills in that area, were used to signal others back in the city, the waving torches warned of an enemy and a torch held still relayed a message that “friendlies” were approaching.
For evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction. That evil would be the army of King Nebuchadnezzar.
The enemy is coming, of this, there is no doubt, just as Satan, in his role as the Antichrist, is also coming soon and there is no doubt about that either. Satan’s army, the locust army, is coming with him…
✡ Revelation 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. KJV
And their faces were as the faces of men. Wow. They weren’t insects, after all, they were men.
Preachers don’t teach that today, nor have they ever, because it might just scare people away and as biblically uninformed as people are today, they’re probably right. But that’s no excuse for the lies they speak instead.
We’ll see in just a short while, in this chapter, that even back then the preachers, the “prophets” spoke of peace, peace, peace, while Jeremiah spoke the words of the Holy Spirit and that’s NOT what He was saying. Jeremiah was saying war, war, war.
Jeremiah 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
What Father is giving us here is called a simile, a likening of one thing for another.
A comely and delicate woman. A soft and beautiful woman, one that is helpless. Father is saying that the House of Israel and the House of Judah are as helpless as a soft and beautiful woman. Why would He say that?
Because they are not prepared for the coming war! Their preachers are telling them that everything is cool, it’s all gonna be ok. In reality, it’s going to be like shooting fish in a barrel, there is no escape.
Boy, does that analogy ring true today…shooting fish in a barrel. Most of the Christian world is NOT prepared for what is coming to Jerusalem in a short time. They’ve been told that when the end times come, that it’s going to be the Lord Jesus Christ that’s going to take them away.
They are loaded, locked, and prepped to be the first ones taken and are proud of it. The only problem is that the FIRST messiah to appear in Jerusalem is a fake but then they didn’t know that, nor did their preacher who told them that the first to appear in that city would be the true Lord Jesus Christ.
They aren’t prepared for the spiritual war that’s coming.
Jeremiah 6:3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
Don’t be fooled by this word shepherds because they are EVIL shepherds. Why would every-day shepherds bring their flocks from out on the desert and surround the city of Jerusalem with them? That doesn’t make much sense, does it?
These shepherds are the lieutenants, and captains, and generals of the Babylonian army. The evil leaders.
They will pitch their tents and completely surround the city of Jerusalem and they’re prepared to stay for a long time because they shall feed every one in his place. They’re not going anywhere, anytime soon.
Jeremiah 6:4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
The residents of Jerusalem are saying those words, Israel and Judah.
This day can be looked at as a generation, the one that you are living in today. And it’s coming to a close because the shadows are getting longer and longer. That’s what stretched out means.
There’s not a lot of time left. Satan sits there, tapping his fingertips on the tabletop, glancing at his watch from time to time, impatient, and looking forward to gathering in all the souls that the little antichrists have deceived for him.
He has hated our Father and our Lord since his downfall in the first heaven/earth age and he’s going to take as many of His children into the Lake of Fire as he possibly can.
He had a great plan and it worked really well, so far. His minions have done all the groundwork over the centuries, and all he has to do is impersonate the Lord, stand there and make fire come down from heaven…
✡ Revelation 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, KJV
...and they’ll flock by the millions just to get a glimpse of him, standing before that gold-covered roof on that building that stands where the great Temple used to be, telling the world that he IS God…
This fire is actually lightning, coming down with a snap of his fingers.
✡ 2nd Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. KJV
It’s coming as sure as the Babylonians will take Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 6:5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
Again, the Babylonians speaking.
Jeremiah 6:6 For thus hath the Lord of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
Father is telling this army to cut down some trees and use them to scale her walls of defense; move earth up against her walls so that they can walk right up to the top of them because these people reek of sin and abominations.
Jeremiah 6:7 As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness:
Sin among these people is so rampant it’s like water spewing forth from a fountain. Something similar to this is written about in Revelation…
✡ Revelation 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. KJV
This is not water but a flood of lies and deception, spewing from the mouth of the serpent, Satan, in his role as the Antichrist, as he stands there looking and sounding so holy in front of that Muslim shrine.
Bet you didn’t know that, did you? Its proper name is the Dome of the Rock. It was built by Umayyad caliph ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Marwān in the late 7th century B.C., and it sits on the very foundation of the two Temples of Israel.
violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
That’s the effect that sin and abominations have on our Father. They hurt Him as mental grief and physical wounds.
We, as human beings, should be so proud of ourselves. We ignore Him, slap Him in the face, and believe the lies of Satan and his little antichrists, instead of reading this Book that He gave us. But you know what? Everyone will STILL have a shot at going into the eternity and those that did not learn the truth in their time as a human being, they will be taught during the Millennium.
As much as we hurt Him, He still has love for us and hopes that we will ALL see the light of His truth before it’s too late. Personally, I don’t believe that He will grieve for those that don’t.
Jeremiah 6:8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
Suddenly, Father becomes remorseful in this verse, as if the weight of their sins and the futility of their disobedience floods through His mind and heart and His love for us briefly overtake his anger.
We are made in His image, that was His choice. He could have made us with almond-shaped faces and spindly bodies, as those that draw pictures of alien beings present them, but heart and soul, mind and body, we are exactly like Him and the host of heaven.
His Son, our Lord, came in a body just like ours, to show us the way, and take on all the sin that we will ever commit. And with that in mind, look at how we still treat Him.
Jeremiah 6:9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
The Babylonians are going to clean out Jerusalem like someone picking the grapes off of the vine and they’re not going to leave anything unplucked.
Jeremiah 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
Father is asking…who should I talk to, who among you will hear the words coming out of My mouth through this prophet Jeremiah? Have you figured out yet that to be “uncircumcised” of anything, mouth or heart or mind, it means a closing off? It’s not physical circumcision, it’s spiritual.
Behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. That’s the very reason that people don’t study on their own today. You see, they’ve figured out that if they read His instructions and realize the truth of it all, then He will hold them responsible for their actions, their sins, and they don’t want that to happen. They like living the way that they do.
Just go to church once a week for an hour, listen to some bag of wind give a sermon, who’s subject is long forgotten before they even reach the parking lot when the service is over, and go home, crank up the grill, break open that six-pack and watch the game.
They find no comfort in His Words, they don’t feel the safety of His promises, because the sin is far more enjoyable.
Jeremiah 6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
Father doesn’t care who the sinners are. Husband, wife, or even the old people. He is disgusted up to His eyebrows with them.
He can’t get through to them, can’t make sense to them, they kill the prophets when He sends them, what is He to do with them?
Maybe 70 years of captivity to the Chaldeans will turn them around. Well, I’ve read the Book, I’ve seen life for 76 years, and it didn’t work. We do today what they did back then.
For even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. That means EVERYONE and the deception of Satan/Antichrist will cover everyone during these end times as well…
✡ Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. KJV
There will be very few that will not be deceived, and first and foremost, it will be His very Elect. They stood with Him during the katabole’ and as we get closer and closer to the end I believe that they are here on earth now just like the dregs of heaven are here on earth now as well.
Disregarding the terror groups like ISIS, Hamas, and Al Qaeda, the major organizations that work for Satan, has it ever crossed your mind as to why so many individuals in this country do the mass shootings?
It’s no mystery to me because I believe that they are the dregs from the bottom of heaven, and I also believe that Father waited until these days to have them be here, at a mature age, to where they can do this carnage.
“Well brother, are you saying that Father purposefully put them here at this time to do all these killings?”
I believe that these souls were a part of the 1/3 of the souls that followed Lucifer in the first heaven/earth age and that they will do these things regardless of when Father places those souls into an embryo, and if that is true, then Father’s reasoning is to do it now to get our attention and make us realize that Satan is more proactive today because HE knows that the end time is near and HIS time is running out.
Jeremiah 6:12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together:
Moses warned them of the coming punishment for their disobedience back in Deuteronomy 28…
✡ Deuteronomy 28:30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
✡ Deuteronomy 28:31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. KJV
However, Moses wasn’t talking about the Babylonians here in Jeremiah, he was talking to the people as they wandered through the desert for those 40 years and the coming punishment for their disobedience back then.
for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord.
There it is again. NOBODY is going to be happy when He stretches out His hand over the people or the land.
Jeremiah 6:13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
It doesn’t matter if you are a pauper living on the street or a prominent judge or the king…EVERYBODY sins. Even the false prophets and the preachers do it.
Jeremiah 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
This is referring to the prophets and the priests from the above verse. It was their responsibility to warn the people that if they keep doing what it is that they are doing, severe punishment is coming but instead they tell the people that nothing is going to happen, everything will be peaceful, safe, and secure.
Seems like that was written somewhere else concerning Satan as the Antichrist…
✡ Daniel 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. KJV
People have been taught that there will be blood running down the gutters of the streets when Satan comes, and nothing is further from the truth. He’s after your soul, how could he win you over if you see him and his minions killing everybody in sight?
A ridiculous teaching.
Jeremiah 6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.
Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush. They had no sense of guilt, their conscience was not affected because they thought that what they were doing was the right thing to do and it’s hardened their heart and mind, it’s isolated them from changing their ways, no matter what Father says to them.
At the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord. I don’t believe that our Lord will return until it’s time to change over to the next dispensation and that will begin after the great day of judgment, so if you’re having fun and see no reason to change the way that you live, then keep on keepin’ on, BRO, it will all end soon enough.
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
The analogy here is to look around and see how things used to be done before all of the idolatry and abominations became so prevalent, look at how it used to be when we all loved and respected our Father and followed His instructions, as best we could, and look for that again.
If you look for it and listen to our Father you will remember that you once had rest in your soul, in your bones when you DID follow Him.
But the people then and the people today, say NO. We will walk as we want to, we will find pleasure where we can find it. The Bible and the instructions and the “types” given are too boring for today's’ world.
Jeremiah 6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
Watchmen stand atop the towers, constantly looking for the enemy, and giving the alarm when they do. The “watchmen” of today are supposed to be the preachers. When they see lies and false teachings filtering into the church, they’re supposed to tell the congregation and warn them of it.
But some are afraid of losing their jobs and their pension, because if they raise a stink about certain traditions that are being taught, the hierarchy of the church may fire them.
And some are just so butt-ugly stupid they wouldn’t know false teachings from the true Word. It’s a job to them and some become religious “leaders” within their community, they’re looked up to, their opinion on certain matters is sought, and they become full of themselves and don’t want to change that.
They will truly sell their soul for recognition by other human beings.
Jeremiah 6:18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
Father is reaching out to other nations and inviting them to take a close look at His people and see the things that they do, how they continually disobey Him and go their own way.
These other nations aren’t just sitting around twiddling their thumbs and watching Wheel of Fortune. They are fully aware of the God of the Israelites. They see with their own eyes how He interacts with them and some have even been used by our Father to chastise His people. Do they see the apparent futility of their God to bring them back into alignment with His Commandments?
Chances are very good that THEY are more dedicated to some god that they worship than the Israelites are to theirs. Perhaps they are completely convinced that the god that they worship is the TRUE god. But during this time in history, they do see the miracles that Father performs in an effort to teach and protect His own. Will this change their mind and make converts out of them?
What about the people that live with and beside you in the same subdivision? You claim to be a Christian, they see you get all dressed up every Sunday morning and go to some church and they also see how you live your life on the other 6 ½ days of the week. What kind of an image are you putting out there?
You SAY that you’re a Christian, do you ACT like a Christian? Church people like to use the word “witness”.
“What is your witness for the Father, brother?”
Your “witness” to the world is how you live your lives daily and, believe me, they take mental notes on what they see you do and what they hear you say….
✡ Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. KJV
That means don’t use cuss words in your conversations. Don't lie or carry tales or gossip. Slang words can also be included.
Jeremiah 6:19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
Then Father declares to all nations that, because of their constant disobedience, because they ignore Him when he speaks to them through the prophets, that there will have to be a punishment of some sort to try to get their attention.
Evil means calamity, even the thoughts of their mind will be confusing.
Even the fruit of their thoughts. What are the fruits of their thoughts? It’s how they act every day. It’s how YOU act every day. What you think comes out in your actions. You can’t think in your mind that you love your neighbor and then try your best to get him to come to your church next Sunday where they teach the rapture theory and the any-moment doctrines. The doctrines of deceit.
The two just don’t wash together. You can’t put a cup of laundry detergent AND a cup of dirt in your washer and expect good results, can you? The same thing happens spiritually.
Jeremiah 6:20 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
Why do you bring this nonsense to Me, Father asks? Sweet cane was a spice that was used in anointing oil, it wasn’t sugar cane from Louisiana.
If you’ll remember, we read about this in the latter chapters of Isaiah…
✡ Isaiah 65:3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
✡ Isaiah 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
✡ Isaiah 65:5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. KJV
Father says that smelling the burnt offerings and incense is like standing downwind from a burning campfire. It burns His eyes and nose, it does nothing for Him, He doesn’t like that kind of stuff. He wants your love and obedience instead.
“Well then, why did he have the people do it in the first place? He told them to do it!”
It was to show obedience to Him. Take the best of what you have to offer and give it to Him as a sacrifice. A lot of us would go completely nuts if He expected that of us today.
“Hey brother, God wants you to go and set that Maserati, that very expensive Italian sports car you own on fire, and burn it up.”
“To show Him that you love Him, that’s why.”
The question then becomes…are the possessions of the world more important to you than pleasing Him? Would you actually set that theoretical Maserati afire? Food for thought, isn’t it?
Father asking them to take the best bull or cow from the herd and kill it and offer it to Him must have carried an equal amount of concern from those of Israel. That bull or cow would bring enough money, on the market, to sustain a family for a long time.
Jeremiah 6:21 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will lay stumblingblocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall upon them; the neighbour and his friend shall perish.
A stumblingblock is something that will make life more difficult. He’s going to make things tough on them because of their rejection.
It’s interesting to note that Christ Himself will become a stumbling block for many at the end of these days. How could that be, one might ask? For the simple reason that many people do not know that there will be TWO messiahs’ during the end times and many will follow the wrong one.
That’s the stumbling block. The wrong messiah.
The FIRST one will be Satan, as the Antichrist, impersonating the true Christ and HE is the stumblingblock because few will know that he is a fake. They go to church their entire lives and no one ever told them about that. It was all written, but they were too lazy to read of it themselves.
The SECOND one will be the true Messiah.
The neighbour and his friend shall perish. They’re going to walk into the Lake of Fire because of their ignorance IF they don’t start studying for themselves and stop depending on someone else to take care of their soul.
Your soul is YOU. This earthly body is not. And when the soul dies, so do you. Finito.
Jeremiah 6:22 Thus saith the Lord, Behold, a people cometh from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.
Father reminds them of the coming Babylonian army, coming from the north.
From the sides of the earth. Not that they thought that the earth was a square because back then they really had no idea of what was beyond where they lived but the word sides meaning “from the lateral” or “from the flank”.
Not the leading edge of the attack but from further back and off to both sides. A sweeping invasion.
Jeremiah 6:23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
Have you figured out that O daughter of Zion is the city of Jerusalem?
This army is not coming to barter and trade with them; to make business deals if they harken to the Word of God….they’re coming to kill. Men, women, children, livestock, and so on. There is no mercy in their minds.
Set in array as men for war against thee. They are in military formation, as the tip of the spear. Horses neighing, dust filling the air, shouting and hollering. Today they would be shouting “death to the infidels.”
Jeremiah 6:24 We have heard the fame thereof: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.,
This is not to say that the armies of Israel and Judah are a bunch of wimps, they are not, they can hold their own, but it’s the people themselves, the shepherds, the shopkeepers, the women with suckling children, they aren’t prepared for war. They are the ones that are feeble and afraid.
Jeremiah 6:25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.
Stay at home, close your shops, do not go out, because the enemy will be everywhere.
Jeremiah 6:26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
Gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes. These are the things that people do when they are in mourning….here, as though an only son has been taken away. This is how they will feel after all is over.
For the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us. The spoiler refers to the Babylonian army, but it’s also one of Satan’s names of the end times. Verse 24 spoke of a woman in travail, which means that she is giving birth and the birth of today is that of a new age, where the birth pangs become closer and closer together indicating that the number of days until the return of our Lord keep getting shorter and shorter.
Jeremiah 6:27 I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people. Taking the English words as they’re written, one might think that He is talking about a watchman again, watching over the fortress, but let’s see what this word tower means in the Hebrew…
✡ Tower_ OT:969 bachown' (baw-khone'); from OT:974; an assayer or metals:
Tower really means an assayer of metals, so when it reads try their way, it really means to test as when testing metals.
Father is using metallurgy as a metaphor for His people in this verse, and He is going to “try”, or assay them. Check them out.
Jeremiah 6:28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
In the Hebrew language revolters is termed “revolters of revolters”, meaning the worst of the worst when it comes to sin and abominations.
They are backsliders from the git-go and they keep continuing to sin by keeping relationships with people that like to commit similar sins and abominations. Father used a similar metaphor back in Isaiah…
✡ Isaiah 48:4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass; KJV
And why brass and iron? They are the opposite of gold and silver, therefore much lower in stature among the world of metals.
Jeremiah 6:29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away.
The bellows are burned. The testing will be intense because the bellows have become hot enough to almost melt themselves. The purpose of a smelting pot is to separate the fine metal from the slag and Father is saying that Israel is so corrupt it is almost impossible to separate the good from the bad.
The founder melteth in vain. In this analogy, Father is the founder and try as He might, He's wasting His time. Sin is so ingrained in these people it's almost impossible to separate it out.
Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them. KJV
The reference is to the silver being so full of other metals as to be almost worthless. In other words, because of their sin, they have almost become worthless themselves.
Father has been coming down pretty hard on Israel and Judah for some time now and why is that? He wants them back, He doesn’t want to lose even ONE soul to Satan. They are His creation, not Satan’s, and He will stay on their backsides until they come around.
Anyone that is familiar with life knows that there is no “sweet spot” to attain to, no plane in which there is no sin while in these corruptible bodies, only the spiritual body has attained incorruption.
He loves each and every one of us and will not stand down until every opportunity to reach the ultimate place of purity, eternal life, is given to all of us.
Sadly, that will never happen. This corrupt world, Satan’s’ world, will always encase many to the point that they would rather be cast into the Lake of Fire than change their ways and repent and come back to Fathers’ fold once more.
Don’t be a part of that crowd. If that’s where they want to go, let them, but you take control of your own destiny and don’t hand that off to some corrupt preacher.
If you’re here on this site, it shows that you ARE concerned with your own soul but DO NOT let this site be THE place from which you receive your information. Open the Book. Read it, study it, investigate the words and absorb as much of it as you possibly can.
