The Book of Micah

Bible Study-MIC-Chapter 1

Chapter 1__Threatening

Micah, in the Hebrew tongue, means who is like Yah?, fully translated. It’s one of the names of the Minor Prophets that is a question. And, of course, no one is like our Father.

(Yah, oft times mistakenly spelt Jah, is a shortened form of Yahaveh, oft times mistakenly spelt as Jehovah. Remember that there is no letter J in the Hebrew alphabet.)

This book of Micah has a lot of threatening’s from our Father, from 1:2 through 3:12 and it’s against all three of the groups of His children: the 10 Tribes of the Northern Kingdom, the 2 Tribes of the Southern Kingdom and all of the ethnos children, who basically, at least in the Christian countries, descended from Abraham, as he was called the father of many nations.

So don’t ever feel that because you are not a Jew that you have been culled out and don’t quite meet the mark that they do and I include myself in that statement. I’m of the ethnos as many of you are.

Early on I did feel a certain cast aside feeling and the more that I read the Old Testament the more it seemed to come to the surface, but on the other side, I began to see how Israel, and that’s the natural seed of all 12 Tribes, continually thumbed their nose at our Father and turned their back on the things that He did for them and even up to and including today, the Jews still do not believe that the Messiah has ever existed:

“Jesus Christ was a GOOD MAN and he died on the cross but he was NOT THE MESSIAH because the true messiah would not allow himself to be killed by human hands.”

That is the Jewish belief of who Christ is. Succinct and to the point.

I no longer feel slighted for not being born in that heritage but feel satisfied at being grafted in to that sacred tree, knowing that Father loves all of His creation. This only applies to those of us that are called Caucasians, those ten lost Tribes that migrated across the Caucasus Mountains. (Were you aware of that connection? Caucasians <> Caucasus.)

And for that, I’m grateful to our Father, for that knowledge, that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah. That I do see the wonderful things that He did for His children and that I do understand the truth, that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and His death did free all humanity from the chains of sin and that He was the Savior of the world.

One thing that I definitely do not feel good about is that if all the Jews don’t believe that Christ is the Messiah then they have no saving grace, they cannot repent of their sins and receive forgiveness. Yes, I do understand their concept of repentance and forgiveness but they don’t believe in praying directly to Jesus to have His blood forgive their sins before the Father.

Good works and mental repentance does not forgive sins.

Alright, I’ll get back on track.

Micah 1:1 The word of the Lord that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Micah apparently prophesied for quite some time because of the pointing out of the kings of the House of Judah, Jotham reigned for 16 years; Ahaz reigned for 16 years and Hezekiah reigned for 29 years, a total of 61 years.

Samaria and Jerusalem, Samaria being the capitol of the house of Israel and Jerusalem being the capitol of the house of Judah so our Father is pretty much talking about ALL of Israel.

Micah 1:2 Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

Oooops, Now this is addressed to the inhabitants of the whole earth. Do you live on this earth? Then read or listen closely because this pertains to you as well as me and everyone else.

Micah 1:3 For, behold, the Lord cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

Where is his place? Anywhere He happens to be or wants to be or plans on being. You cannot confine the Creator anywhere.

What are the high places? Those are your churches, your places of worship. Why would our Father tread upon them? Because they’re full of lies.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, verse 3 is talking about the day that the Lord will return. The five month tribulation of Satan/Antichrist is over, there are no flesh and blood bodies anywhere on earth because the individual spiritual body of each person has now come forth.

If you had the seal of our Father in your mind, your brain, your cognizance, you have made it through without one hair being moved out of place. Of course, you had to have had that seal in place BEFORE this tribulation began or it would not have benefited you at all.

If you will remember, some of the Apostles were walking with our Lord through Jerusalem and being from the country they were marveling at all the wonderful structures and buildings along the streets and one of them asked the Lord what it would be like when He returned, as this prophesy in Micah is talking about right now, and this is what He had to say:

Ref: Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. KJV

Everything that is evil, all the rudiments, will be destroyed. What our Lord said above does not mean literally destroyed because the Millennium, of which this is the first day, will be spent right here on earth, so it will not be destroyed. It’s the evil works that will be taken away.

When Satan is locked in the pit for the 1000 years he will have no influence ANYWHERE. He is silenced. All his little buddies as well. We will be free of all temptation.

Micah 1:4 And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

I want you to take note of 2nd Peter 3:10:

Ref: 2nd Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. KJV

The EVIL works shall be burned up. The second heaven/earth age is passing away, preparing for the third and final, which is the eternity.

Our Father is not going to destroy this earth. Not now nor in the future. You can find proof of this in Ezekiel chapter 16 and in Revelation chapter 21.

The Millennium and the Eternity will be spent right here on Mother Earth. During the Millennium that earth will remain pretty much the same but during the eternity Father will revert it back to the state in which it was during the first heaven/earth age.

No storms, no snow or cold weather. No hurricanes because the water will be put back into place in that firmament that surrounds this globe as it once did eons ago.

Why is He coming back at this time?

Micah 1:5 For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

For the transgression of Jacob is all this. All this what? The return of our Lord to sweep the world clean.

Now, if you think that He’s coming back because of the rudiments and elements of Jacob and Israel and Samaria and Judah, you are sadly mistaken. He’s coming back because of these of ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE ENTIRE WORLD.

Even for the sins of His Election. They are not perfect, they’ve just done some perfect things, in His eyes.

What happened in Samaria? The two golden calves, to worship instead of going down to Jerusalem.

What happened in Judah? Male and female prostitutes outside the Temple. Stop in and get a little before going home AFTER you’ve worshipped our Father; hidden idols in their tents; waxing proud with gluttony and sexual perversion.

Micah 1:6 Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

Samaria is going to be turned into a ruin, that’s what the word heap means:

    ✡  Heap_OT:5856  `iy (ee); from OT:5753; a ruin (as if overturned):

Destroyed down to the very foundations from which they began. All traditions of the church have a foundation but nobody ever seems interested in searching them out. Far too easy to just sit back in that pew and repeat, repeat, and repeat.

If you’ve read any of the information on my site you should know by now that the Words of our Father tell us that He gets angry when we worship something other than Him; when we mindlessly follow some numbskull with a white collar standing behind a lectern spewing the words of Satan himself.

Why would you want to continue making Him mad?

Surely makes me shake my head.

Micah 1:7 And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

Father is gonna give all those church-whores their money back. Let me ask you this: how much have you sold your soul for? Do you think that you’re any better than these people? Remember that human nature never ever changes. What they did back then, they still do today.

Might look a little different. Might look a little high-tech and all that but the object and the result are still the same.

Micah 1:8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

This should immediately take you back in your mind to the book of Isaiah:

Ref: Isaiah 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. KJV

A spiritual wilderness where nothing grows but nettles and brambles, no food for our spirit from our Father because it’s a place of spiritual death.

Five months prior to this day being talked about in Micah, the high places were ruled and governed by Satan’s helpers…the preachers. And five months have gone by and all the congregation is still looking for that big rapture in the sky before the antichrist  comes and, man oh man, all of a sudden there’s a commotion in the Middle East that has nothing to do with ISIS. Or Al Qaeda.

"Good grief, it’s someone that looks just like the messiah that is already here! How can that be? My preacher told me that the first entity that appeared in Jerusalem was the true Messiah and it that’s true, who is this other one?"

And in that split second they have understanding, their brain is processing the information and then it’s all over. It’s like we’re not ourselves anymore, like we’re just swimming and floating around and too many things are happening at the same time and then silence.

“What the heck kind of body is this?”

Micah 1:9 For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

Yeah, that deadly wound will APPEAR to be healed over but it’s really not. It’s only a stop-gap until the prophesy is fulfilled completely.

Who is this he mentioned here? It’s the enemy. It should be your enemy. It’s Satan/Antichrist. He’s not only at your gate, he’s in your house. Worse yet, he’s in your heart and mind because you think that he’s the true Christ.

Micah 1:10 Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

     What does Aphrah mean?

Aphrah_OT:1036  Beyth le-` Aphrah (bayth le-af-raw'); from OT:1004 and the feminine of OT:6083 (with preposition interposed); house to (i.e. of) dust; Beth-le-Aphrah, a place in Palestine: KJV - house of Aphrah.

It means dust and does that word take your mind anywhere? How ‘bout the book of Genesis?

Ref: Genesis 3:14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: KJV

Are you rolling yourself around in his dust? His lies? His deceptions?

Micah 1:11 Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Beth-ezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

Let’s find out what some of these words mean:

     ✡  Saphir_OT:8208 Shaphiyr (shaf-eer'); from OT:8231; beautiful; Shaphir, a place in Palestine:

✡  Zaanan_OT:6630 Tsa'anan (tsah-an-awn'); from the same as OT:6629 used denominatively; sheep pasture; Zaanan, a place in Palestine:

Root Word_OT:6629 tso'n (tsone); or tse'own (Psalms 144:13) (tseh-one'); from an unused root meaning to migrate; a collective name for a flock (of sheep or goats); also figuratively (of men):

✡  Beth-ezel_OT:1018 Beyth ha-' Etsel (bayth haw-ay'-tsel); from OT:1004 and OT:681 with the article interposed; house of the side; Beth-ha-Etsel, a place in Palestine:

How best to interpret this with understanding? It’s referring to those that are going to be deceived; it is so crowded and there are so many of them that all they have time to do, although they call themselves “beautiful, saved and of assurance”, rolling in the dust, naked, making scenes of themselves.

In the Hebrew it also means that the neighboring town will be so weak and just like they are, so they won’t be able to help and the whole world is going to be deceived, except those that took the time to read His Word, study it, familiarize themselves with it.

Make sure that you’re not standing there, naked and ashamed, on that day.

Micah 1:12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the Lord unto the gate of Jerusalem.

Maroth_OT:4796 Marowth (maw-rohth'); plural of OT:4751 feminine; bitter springs; Maroth, a place in Palestine:

They’re all standing there waiting for the good to show up, the Lord Almighty, and when the fake shows up in His place, it’s going to be bitter alright because they won’t know until the last moment that they’ve been taken in by Satan/Antichrist and by then it will be too late.

     Bitter water to swallow? Indeed.

Micah 1:13 O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

Lachish means Invincible. It was one of the first cities to introduce the worshipping of false gods to Judah. They began to imitate what King Jeroboam had introduced to Israel. Lachish will be strong only in its attempt to flee.

Micah 1:14 Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moresheth-gath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

Moresheth-gath_OT:4182 Mowresheth Gath (mo-reh'-sheth gath); from OT:3423 and OT:1661; possession of Gath; Moresheth-Gath, a place in Palestine:

It means possession of the wine press.

✡  Achzib_OT:392 'Akziyb (ak-zeeb'); from OT:391; deceitful (in the sense of a wintertorrent which fails in summer); Akzib, the name of two places in Palestine:

Achzib means a lie, a falsehood. And the lies, in this day and time, will keep on coming and the people will eat it up. The internet, the web, satellite TV, the entire world of cyberspace is full of the religious lies and if you want to do some research on your own, and I encourage you to do so, be very careful of what you  take in from the web.

You may end up with a virus in your thinking and beliefs and not just your hard drive.

Do you know who came from Gath? It was the place of the giants, the gibbor. It was where Goliath came from. That in itself should tell you something about the place.

Micah 1:15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

There are many caves around Adullam, one of which hid David for a bit.

Ref: 1st Samuel 22:1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him. KJV

Micah 1:16 Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee. KJV

Gone like slaves. Many might say:

“Thank goodness we’re not slaves today”.

Oh, really. Why don’t you quit your job tomorrow and see how free you are. Where’s the money to subsist on going to come from? You’re a slave to your employer and the greenback dollar.

A lot more threatening’s yet to come because our Father won’t end it until chapter 3:12. He thinks that it’s important enough to include all of this in His Book, His Word to you, so settle in and absorb what you can. Perhaps that’s all He wants in the first place.
