Chapter 4__Consolation

The Book of Micah

Alright! Chapter four of this great book of Micah.

We’ve had three chapters of “threatening’s” from our Father and those threats only apply to those that disregard His laws, commandments, regulations and ordinances. If you are in good standing with Him, then what you should get out of those three chapters is a lesson on how to bring those souls that are outside of His Grace and bring them into the fold so, they too, can be a part of the eternity, and not walk that road to the Lake of Fire.

It’s good to spiritually bang someone around for a while and hope that, through the Holy Spirit, they can once again be a part of our Father’s fold. People may say the words but it’s the Holy Spirit that must act on them.

Chapter four is going to bring some consolation. It contains an insight as to how He will consummate this earth age and bring in the Millennium. All flesh will be taken away and He will “group” His children and deal with them according to how they acted while in these flesh and blood bodies.

While I’m thinking about it, here is the progression of the “ages” of our Father:

     1st Heaven/Earth ageà 2nd Heaven/Earth ageà The Millennium à The Eternity.

Where does this chapter 4 come into it? The Lord’s Day.

     2nd Heaven/Earth age à The Lord’s Day à The Millennium

The time for “a second chance” is gone, the dye has been cast, with the exception of those who never had a real chance of learning or hearing the truth of His Word while in these earthly bodies, and therefore the whole purpose of the Millennium, these 1000 years, will be to present the truth to these souls and let them decide what they’re going to do.

It may be a bit easier for these souls because, during the Millennium, there will be no temptation by Satan, there will be no false prophets, as the truth will be presented in its entirety. Somehow that has a flavor of being unfair to all of those souls that did understand the truth and still had to resist and fend off the lies of Satan and his cohorts, the false preachers.

There will be a short period of five months when Satan will be released from the pit, at the end of this Millennium, to tempt those that have accepted our Lord as Savior and this is where His “fairness” comes into play because this temptation may be in a concentrated form, it may be a real drill-down.

After all, it’s only for five months and not an entire lifetime. We’ll just have to wait and see. He is in control and He will be fair always.

If you have never been taught concerning what happens at the end of this heaven/earth age then you need to pay close attention to what our Father has to say. This could really open up your eyes….and who knows….you may end up with eyes that see.

     Verse 1.

Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

This mountain is a physical place here on earth. The mountain of the house of the Lord is referring to Mount Zion or Mount Moriah over in Israel, the Middle East. You could travel there today, if the inclination hit you, but you wouldn’t find any of this going on there because the time for it has not arrived yet.

And we’re not talking about a mountain peak like you would see out in the Rocky Mountains and maybe not even of the elevation of some of the peaks here in the Great Smokey Mountains but 2000 to 3000 feet of elevation nonetheless.

What is this house of the Lord? It’s the Millennium Temple. What… didn’t know that there was going to be another Temple? And with this one, unlike the second Temple of Herod, no other religion will use the base and build their own shrine on top of it.

I think it to be important to give a little history of the Temples so allow me a few lines:

The first Temple, Solomon’s Temple: construction started in 832 B.C. and was completed in 587 B.C. It was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II after the siege of Jerusalem in 587 B.C and the Jews were taken into the Babylonian Captivity.

The second Temple: is a reconstruction built on the foundation of the first Temple and it was built by Herod. Construction began in 353 B.C. and was completed in 349 B.C. It was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D.

On the surface of Mount Zion there is a place called the Foundation Stone, a part of the 90 million year old upper stage of limestone where it is said that the Holy of Holies was in both the first and second Temples. There is a small hole in the rock that leads down to a small cavern known as the Well of Souls.

As with the Tabernacle when the children were wandering in the desert, the Holy of Holies was a special room within the heart of the Tabernacle and the Temple, wherein was the presence of our Father. In the days of the Tabernacle His presence was seen as a cloud within that room.

Both of these Temples were constructed on Mount Zion, also known as the Temple Mount, some even call it Mount Moriah.

In 691 A.D. a Muslim shrine was constructed on the same foundation on which the first and second Jewish Temples stood and this shrine was called the Dome of the Rock. It is still there to this day. The Muslims believe that Muhammed ascended to heaven from this spot.

This Dome of the Rock is NOT a mosque. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is located just down the street in the city of Old Jerusalem.

Now, the question is..where will Christ place His feet when He does return? Let’s go to Isaiah:

Isaiah 2:1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Boy, does that sound like Micah 4:2? Oh, you bet it does!

Isaiah 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

He’s coming back and placing His feet on the Mount  of Olives, Mt. Olivet.  Satan/Antichrist will be occupying Mount Zion

When the Apostles asked Him what it was going to be like when He DID return, this was His reply:

Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. KJV

I’ll tell you what, people, when you listen to the news on TV and you hear the reports of death and mayhem, beheadings and killings of Christians by ISIS, the radical part of the Muslim religion, you have to be able to make better sense of it all by knowing the above facts about the return of our Lord.

And you should remember what I stated earlier: He’s not going to touch His Election or those that believe in Him, He’s only going to destroy the rudiments, the bad parts, the evil parts. Does that include the Dome of the Rock? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see. It’s not for us to judge.

Micah 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

He will teach us of his ways. That’s what is going to be happening during the Millennium, that’s the only purpose of the Millennium: to make sure that every soul that our Father ever created has a chance to understand and be able to make an intelligent decision as to who they will love more: Satan or our Father.

There will be billions of souls that never got a chance to understand the truth of His Word. Just think about that for a minute. What about the native tribes in deepest darkest Africa? They know instinctively that there is a higher power, they just don’t have the Scriptures to study to understand it.

They don’t know about Jesus or our Father or Satan or the Antichrist. The Millennium will make sure that they do.

Or the millions and millions of people that go to church every Sunday and take the words of their preacher as gospel truth. They don’t study on their own because they believe that what they are hearing is the actual truth.

Micah 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

This is the Millennium…there are no earthly bodies any more. There is nothing to fight over so it’s a figure of speech to say that we should turn our swords into pruning hooks. There is no war in the Millennium or the Eternity. There is nothing but peace. That’s what it means.

Micah 4:4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.

Peace and tranquility. I remember a day when I was a child living on a farm in northern Pennsylvania. Nobody locked their doors at night. Windows were left open to allow the cool night air to come in because nobody could afford air conditioning.

Our Father says that it will be this way and so it shall be.

Micah 4:5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.

Now, this verse can be very misleading for some people. In the past I have pointed out that when you see the word “god” and the “g” is not capitalized, at least in the King James, it means a false god or an idol.

But verse 5 is divided into two sections: one addressed to all people and the other addressed to we. In the first section the word is god while in the second section the word is God, indicating that one group is worshipping a false god while the other is worshipping the true God.

Since the time period being talked about here is the Millennium, there will be no false gods during that time, that was a part of our earthly life and that is no more, and if you go to the Interlinear Bible you will find that the word “god” actually means elohiym and there we find the solution to the apparent problem.

Y god- OT:430 'elohiym (el-o-heem'); plural of OT:433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:

One of the sacred names of our Father.

Actually the first part of that verse is referring to the Gentiles and the second part to the Jews. No false gods intended.

This was a great example of not believing every English word in the King James Bible. The interpreters sometimes made mistakes.

     Micah 4:6 In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;

In that day is going forward in time to this time.

This word halteth means to limp along:

Y Halteth-- OT:6760 tsala` (tsaw-lah'); a primitive root: probably to curve; used only as denominative from OT:6763, to limp (as if one-sided):

The rest of this verse is a metaphor that simply illustrates how tired sheep will get after a long journey and in the extended sense, all the suffering and exiles of Israel. Once the Millennium is reached this will never occur again.

Has our Father ever afflicted you? And you’re first reaction might be:

“He hasn’t done anything to me but I think He gave cancer to Uncle George, probably because he was such a bad person.”

First of all, because of our stubbornness, sometimes He has to get our attention by rapping us on our gourd every once in a while. It means that He’s correcting you, not hating you. If He didn’t love you to begin with, He wouldn’t do anything to you, good or otherwise.

You should be totally grateful if He does knock you around a bit…it shows that He still loves you and has hope for you.

And as far as giving us cancer or something similar, He doesn’t work that way. Nor does He put obstacles in our way. He doesn’t put burdens on us either. Do you really think that a loving God would do that to His children? Would you do something like that to one of your kids? I hope not!

It’s a dangerous mindset to get out of bed in the morning and think to yourself:

“I wonder what kind of burden God’s going to put on me today.”

Here’s what our Father thinks about that kind of mindset:

Jeremiah 23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will even punish that man and his house.

Jeremiah 23:35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and, What hath the Lord spoken?

Jeremiah 23:36 And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.

Jeremiah 23:37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and, What hath the Lord spoken?

     Jeremiah 23:38 But since ye say, The burden of the Lord; therefore thus saith the Lord; Because ye say this word, The burden of the Lord, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the Lord;

Jeremiah 23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:

Jeremiah 23:40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten. KJV

Be very careful about saying that the Father puts a burden on you or anyone else. It’s dangerous.

I know that there are a lot of people that try to please our Father and they pray every day and, no doubt, ask for direction in their lives but when someone they love is killed by whatever tragedy, auto accident, drug overdose, suicide or act of war, many of them tend to blame our Father.

And that is wrong. He may correct you and maybe try to redirect your path through this life, to keep you out of danger, but He won’t kill a family member or a friend or a relative to accomplish that. We do a pretty good job of killing ourselves in this life.

Micah 4:7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

As we transcend into the Millennium the remnant, the Elect, of Israel and of the Gentiles as well, will be watched over by our Father forever and ever, far into the Eternity.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, understands or comprehends the length of time that is encompassed in the “eternity” or “forever”. It’s beyond our capability of reasoning. There is no known benchmark by which we can compare “something” with “forever” or the “eternity”.

You cannot say: “Well, we have this length of time”, so it must relate to the length of time, multiplied by how many times over, to equal forever or the eternity.

If you stand before a white board and you write down the length of time equal to forever or the eternity, the board remains blank. Nothing can be written because it is not known.

Micah 4:8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

First dominion should read former dominion.

Let’s look at flock and strong hold first and see what they mean in the Hebrew:

Y Flock-- OT:5739 `eder (ay'-der); from OT:5737; an arrangement, i.e. muster (of animals): KJV - drove, flock, herd.

Y Root Word -- OT:5737 `adar (aw-dar'); a primitive root; to arrange, as a battle, a vineyard (to hoe); hence, to muster and so to miss (or find wanting): KJV - dig, fail, keep (rank), lack.

Y strong hold-- OT:6076 `ophel (o'-fel); from OT:6075; a tumor; also a mound, i.e. fortress: KJV - emerod, fort, strong hold, tower.

Y OT:6075 `aphal (aw-fal'); a primitive root; to swell; figuratively, be elated: KJV - be lifted up, presume.

What is the tower of the flock? The Companion Bible will direct you to Genesis 35:21 and it reads:

Genesis 35:21 And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.

Keep in mind that Israel, spoken of here, represent the 12 Tribes, not one man, Jacob, who our Father changed his name to later on.

I’ve included verses 22-29 to show that this was the place where all twelve Patriarchs were born

Genesis 35:22 And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:

Genesis 35:23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:

Genesis 35:24 The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin:

Genesis 35:25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:

Genesis 35:26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid; Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padan-aram.

Genesis 35:27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.

Genesis 35:28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.

Genesis 35:29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him. KJV

So when you read Micah 4:8.. And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion you will know that the strong hold is the twelve Patriarchs or the children of these twelve Tribes. They represent the daughter of Zion.

The eternal kingdom shall come to these twelve Tribes which means that there must be a lot of our Father’s chosen people that will have a change of heart during the Millennium because just before the close of that 1000 years, the four angels that control the four winds of the earth are told NOT to set the winds free, to end this period, until 144,000, 12,000 of each Tribe have the seal of God put into their hearts.

     Verse 9.

Micah 4:9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

The approach of the end time, which is at our finger tips here in Micah, will be as a woman about to give birth, the birth pangs coming more frequently and the end of this age comes to a close and the Millennium begins. Remember we read about this in 1st Thessalonians?

1st Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1st Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1st Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. KJV

Where the Apostle Paul is talking about this very day that Micah is talking about? We are children of the light and if we love the Father we are in terrific shape!

I’ll tell you what…..isn’t it good to know that with all the crap that goes on in our everyday life, that those of us that believe, and live that belief, have all these wonderful days in front of us to look forward to?

What kind of despair must be in the minds and hearts of the unbelievers, those who think that God is a generated figurehead of losers in this world; and the surprise to those that THINK they have the truth and do not? We have to work to rectify both of those above conditions.

Micah 4:10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

How sad it is that most of the entire world will have to go to Babylon, deception, before they can recognize the truth? Even after watching some of their loved ones get delivered up before the spurious messiah, they still doubt and make fun.

But that will all stop when the two witnesses rise up from the streets of Jerusalem and it will also be too late because within an instant our Lord will appear on Mount Zion and it’s all over, baby.

Babylon is a condition of the mind, not necessarily a geographical location, but if we go that route, the geography of Babylon, where was that old city? Where the Hanging Gardens used to be?

IRAQ. Does that mean anything to you today? Do you realize that the nation of Jacob is fighting an enemy in what used to be called old Babylon? Babel. Confusion. The main tool of Satan.

Ok, what about ISIS? The terroristic arm of the Muslim religion? Did you know that they are called the sons of Cain? Who was Cain? The first murderer. What is the goal of ISIS? To kill Christians. Kill in the most horrible ways possible. Beheadings. Torture. Mutilation. Mass executions. Hung from a makeshift cross until their bloodless, lifeless body finally dies.

Where have you been, people? There’s more to life than TMZ and nail salons.

Micah 4:11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.

They can look but that’s all they can do BECAUSE our Father is in control.

Micah 4:12 But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

All the evil, all the bad stuff, all the souls that were intent on destroying other souls….He’s going to gather them together, spiritually, and send their butts into the Lake of Fire. Remember the tares..?

Micah 4:13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. KJV

One soul, that loves and follows our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, is more powerful than a million of those that follow Satan. Why? Because we operate under our Father’s power and with that, we have power over all of our enemies. And that includes the ones from the nether world.

When was the last time that you anointed your door posts on your house? Sounds a bit fanatical, doesn’t it?

“This guy must be a real religious nut!”

No, I’m not a nut. Read the book of James.
